Delete your Roamr account or data
You can delete specific data while keeping your account, or delete your whole account — from inside the app, or, if you no longer have the app installed, by email.
Delete some of your data (and keep your account)
- Delete a post — open the post, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Delete. The post and its photo are removed; your account stays.
- Delete anything else — email support@roamr.place from the address on your account and tell us what to remove. We action requests promptly, and in any case within 30 days.
Delete your whole account
In the app: open Profile → Settings → Delete account. It takes effect immediately.
It cannot be undone. There is no grace period and no way for us to restore the account afterwards.
Don't have the app? Request it by email
If you have removed the app or cannot sign in, email us at support@roamr.place from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We use the sending address to confirm the request is yours, then delete the account — promptly, and in any case within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in, password and every active session.
- Your profile, posts, captions, photos, comments, likes and follows — your posts leave the feed and the map immediately.
- Your photos are removed from our storage; copies cached at the CDN expire shortly afterwards.
- Your @handle and email address are released and may be reused.
What we keep, and why
- Safety records — reports, moderation decisions and violations are kept with your name and identifying details removed, so that someone cannot erase a record of abuse simply by making a new account.
- Backups — encrypted database backups are kept for 14 days and then deleted, so content may persist in a backup until it ages out.
- Anything the law requires us to preserve.
