Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Roamr App (owned and operated by XCELBYTE PTE. LTD.) for using Roamr. By creating an account you accept them.
Who can use Roamr
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to agree to these terms where you live.
- You need to give us a real date of birth. Accounts found to be under the minimum age are removed.
- One person, one account. Do not impersonate anyone.
Your content
Your posts remain yours. We do not claim ownership of anything you post.
To run the service we need your permission to store and display it: you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display your content solely for the purpose of operating Roamr — showing it to the people you have chosen to show it to. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they expire and anything we are legally required to keep.
You are responsible for what you post. Only post content you have the right to post.
What you may not do
Zero tolerance. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users on Roamr. Content that breaks the rules below is removed, and the accounts that post it are restricted or terminated — without prior notice where someone's safety is at risk. Objectionable content includes anything sexual involving a minor, and anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, defamatory, or that incites violence.
- Post sexual content involving minors. There is zero tolerance: any such content we become aware of is preserved and reported to the appropriate authorities as the law requires — never quietly deleted — and the account is terminated.
- Post content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, hateful, or that incites violence.
- Post someone else's private information, or tag a place in a way intended to reveal where a person lives or can be found.
- Impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-collect content or people's data.
- Attack, probe or disrupt the service, or try to bypass its privacy and visibility rules.
- Use Roamr for spam or commercial promotion without our agreement.
Reporting and enforcement
You can report any post and block any account from inside the app. We review reports and may remove content, restrict what an account can do, or terminate it. Serious cases — particularly anything involving a child — are reported to the appropriate authorities and the material is preserved rather than deleted.
If we act against your account we will tell you why where we reasonably can, and you may contest it by writing to support@roamr.place. We may act without prior notice where there is a risk to someone's safety or a legal requirement.
Place tags
A place tag describes the place a post is about. Do not use it to identify where a specific person lives, works or can be found. Tags are stored coarsely unless you deliberately choose exact precision.
Ending the agreement
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. If we shut the service down we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to retrieve your content.
The service is provided as it is
We work hard to keep Roamr running and correct, but we provide it "as is". We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows we exclude implied warranties. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, or data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid us in the past twelve months, or one hundred Singapore dollars.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country gives you the right to bring proceedings there, which we do not take away.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Roamr after that means you accept the new terms.
